2012 Scholarship Announcement For Arkansas Resident Brokers

Effective March 1, 2012 through June 15, 2012, AREC will
offer scholarships of up to $65 for a limited number of active Arkansas Real
Estate Brokers for completing the 2012 AREC Broker Continuing Education Course
offered by one of the qualified providers identified on the AREC website, www.arec.arkansas.gov.

A limited number of scholarships are available. Scholarship
payments will be made directly to brokers who satisfactorily complete the
course for as long as funds are available. There is no need to apply for the
scholarship or be approved in advance. Scholarships will be awarded on a
first-come, first-served basis based upon the course schedules and rosters with
proof of course payment by the broker licensee furnished to AREC by the course
providers. There is no guarantee that any broker will receive the scholarship,
even if they sign a scholarship roster. There are limited funds available and
once the funds are exhausted, no more scholarships can be paid.

Only the 2012 AREC Broker Continuing Education Course
offered by real estate educators located in Arkansas who are licensed by the
State Board of Private Career Education (SBPCE) and identified on the AREC
website as approved to teach this course will be acceptable for scholarship
payment. No other entity, organization, board, association or state-funded
institution or agency shall be eligible to conduct a course for AREC
scholarship payment. Classes closed to a particular membership, business or
association and/or classes limited to members of a particular real estate firm
will not be eligible for scholarship. Class sizes will be limited and only
classroom courses will be eligible for scholarship payment. Licensees who do
not meet the eligibility criteria for scholarship may not attend the classes.

To be eligible for a scholarship, students must hold an
active Arkansas Resident Real Estate Principal Broker License, Designated
Executive Broker License, Executive Broker License or Associate Broker License.
